More than 30,000 dentists gather in Chicago each year to check out the latest innovations in dentistry at the annual Chicago Dental Society (CDS) Midwinter Meeting.
Wish you were there? Well now you can be a part of the experience, thanks to live blogging, a fancy term for chronicling an event and publishing content in real time.
Open Wide is the new blog of the Chicago Dental Society (CDS) geared towards dentists, dental professionals and anyone with an deep interest in teeth.
From reviews of the latest cavity treatments to kitchy, retro dental videos, Open Wide plans to showcase the serious and silly of the dentistry world. CDS aims to create a central forum for its member dentists to share information.
During the 2009 Midwinter Meeting, VDC set up a day-long live live blogging operationdocumenting the latest dental tools on the exhibit floor, video of product reviews by local dentists, and photos from behind the scenes.
VDC continues to work with CDS to flesh out the blog’s initial framework and content. CDS will maintain the blog, with member dentists contributing often.
